History
The Warclan is one of the different communities of the Neo, who comprised different clans of recluse mutants. The Neo suffered a major crisis after the High Evolutionary temporarily deactivated the mutant gene. As a result, they unleashed their rage upon Earth and, more specifically, the X-Men, a group of mutant activists who promoted racial integration. The Warclan was led by Domina, who was driven by vengeance since her child and her parents could not survive the depowering effect.[1][2] The Warclan brutally attacked the X-Men. Nightcrawler was targetted to assassination by Jaeger, who ended up being killed by Cecilia Reyes; Kitty Pryde was seduced by Seth, who sabotaged the High Evolutionary's space station when the X-Men were giving maintenance to it.[3] The X-Men resisted, but were overpowered by the Warclan.[4] The X-Men gained advantage in the battle, knocking Domina out and forcing a retreat. As such, Domina preserved the Warclan in the St. Michael's Church in Brooklyn.[5]
The leadership of the Warclan was challenged by Rax, who conspired against Domina by forging an alliance with the X-Men's leader Rogue. This allowed the X-Men to counter-attack Domina's Warclan. During the battle, Elysia was informed that the X-Men had no participation in deactivating the mutant abilities on Earth, quite the contrary. She was able to convince Domina to cease her attack. However, the Warclan still considered themselves opponents of the X-Men.[2] Following the eradication of the Legacy Virus, Magneto, the master of magnetism and ruler of Genosha, appeared before Domina's Warclan demanding subservience. Claiming he would tolerate mutants fighting each other no more, he subdued the Warclan and forced Domina to surrender her clan and to join him.[6]
Genosha was eventually obliterated by Wild Sentinels, causing the death of the majority of its population.[7] Additionally, mutantkind was severely endangered following the events of the mutant decicmation.[8] A group of Neo resembling the Warclan resurfaced in San Francisco as a terrorist faction, but was confronted by the Young X-Men team.[9] The few surviving Neo were claimed to have been wiped out by Evolutionaries.[10] Although their fate is uncertain, their survival seems unlikely.See Also
