You reached for godhood, Warthog--yet, divinity is not built on sham--nor murder! You are but a creature of the mud--grasping to be what you are not! I am Warlock--and thus the violence you engendered shall be returned to you--fourfold!

Synopsis for "Come Sing a Searing Song of Vengeance!"
Eddie Roberts is killed by Triax. Astrella makes Rex Carpenter interfere in the battle between Triax and Warlock; Triax seems to be startled by Carpenter. Col. Roberts gives the command to attack Triax. Angered, the New Man throws Eddie Roberts off a building and Warlock is too slow to save Eddie.
Notes
- Reprinted in Marvel Masterworks: Warlock # 1
- On the cover, Triax is named Trax
- In later issues of The Incredible Hulk, Gerry Conway wrongly refers to Trax.
