Synopsis for "...Here Dwells the Star Thief!"
In Wildwood Hospital lies young Barry Bauman who was born without any of the five senses. As Warlock decides what to do about the phenomena of the disappearing stars, he realizes that the Soul Gem wants him to investigate further. He finds a world frozen because of the disappearance of its sun. With the help of the Soul Gem, Warlock discovers that just one earthman is responsible for the vanishing stars. Barry Bauman is revealed to be the Star Thief. He wants revenge because nobody cared about his condition and before he turns his attention to Earth he wants to transport all surrounding suns into the endless dimension of his omnipotent brain so that the people know his loneliness before he destroys them.
The Star Thief realizes that there is an interference with his plans and sends his consciousness into space which allows his nurse, Tom Vocson, to regain control over his body. The Star Thief is fascinated by Warlock and feels a kinship, thus, he offers Warlock a challenge; on his way to Earth the Star Thief will only use his corporeal creations to attack Warlock and will not attack him with his mental powers - until he reaches Earth.Appearing in "Homecoming!"

Synopsis for "Homecoming!"
Warlock defeats the creatures conjured up by the Star Thief and he knows, that his enemy is actually the invalid Barry Bauman. Star Thief creates a shark which proves to be too powerful for Warlock, he can only defeat it by leading into the path of a comet. After the collision with the comet, the Star Thief thinks Warlock unconscious but Adam tricked him and steals a part of his soul. Star Thief creates a fire giant and takes control of its body; Warlock realizes that this gives the giant a weakness and crushes its brain with a big rock. Star Thief, however, manages to leave the giant's body in time admitting that he underestimated Warlock. Warlock flees and manages to travel through a black hole utilizing Autolycus' navigational skills and the Magus' perceptive powers. Star Thief is angry but he is sure of his victory as Warlock can't kill him without killing everyone on Earth. Tom Vocson is waking up from Star Thief's mental control and is ready to act. Warlock reaches Earth-space and realizes that he is a giant dwarfing every planet in the system. The Star Thief claims that this is because of the expanding universe theory which means the universe constantly expands and Warlock has now proven some sectors expand at a more rapid rate than others. Having been thousands of light years away from Earth he has grown at a quicker pace than Earth. It is later revealed that Sphinxor manipulated the Soul Gem so that Warlock just thinks that he has grown and leaves the area so that the Prime Movers of Tarkus can take Counter-Earth without Warlock's interference; however the Star Thief explains that Warlock can't defeat him because he can't reach Earth without killing everyone on it because of his height.
Tom Vocson is ready to act, he has a gun and wants to kill Bauman, at the same time the Star Thief is ready to destroy Warlock but Adam feels that the Star Thief has lost and is about to die. After Vocson kills Bauman the stars return to their places and Warlock leaves the area saying, that he lost a home.Appearing in "Just a Series of Events!"

Synopsis for "Just a Series of Events!"
Warlock decides to find a new home since both Earth and Counter-Earth are too small for him. Thanos sends Gamora to find Warlock for his future plans and wants Gamora to become Warlock's unofficial bodyguard, another reason he sent her off is because he knows that Gamora would turn on him if she would find out what he was really up to. Warlock saves an old man named Lamilm Gor from a couple of big creatures; an alien named Marr Gar explains to Warlock that Gor received a loan of 5000 credits and now can't pay his debt so they are repossessing his space craft. Since Gar and his consorts would have left the Gor behind in space Warlock helps him and suggests that he raise the funds to repay Gar's employers from Interplaneteur Inc. Meanwhile, Gamora's ship is destroyed by Drax who seeks Thanos.
On a planet that has left its orbit and is now drifting through space Warlock meets an alien calling itself an Ancient Traveler or a Humble Thinker; he tells Warlock that life is its own purpose. The Traveler tells Warlock that he has seen his future and before being killed by Thanos and himself, Warlock will see Gamora, Pip, and many others die and that Warlock will cause the death of the High Evolutionary. On the planet Degenera, Pip is about to be arrested by Constable Trueheart but manages to escape.
On a deserted planet Warlock wants to find out the secrets of the Soul Gem and is pulled inside it, there the Gem reveals that it is one of six. The Gem tries to make Warlock its slave but he manages to overcome the Gem by threatening to end his life leaving the Gem alone on a planet which it can't leave.Notes
