The Warriors of the Deadly Hand are the foot soldiers representing the House of the Deadly Hand, one of the five Houses of the Five Weapons Society. As an homage to their namesake Deadly Warrior, the Warriors of the Deadly Hand are dressed in red and specialized in unarmed combat.

History

Shang-Chi's defection from Zheng Zu's criminal organization and his subsequent campaign against his father left the original House of the Deadly Hand in shambles, and its Warriors defunct.[1] As a result, they were the only Warriors to not be present for Shang-Chi's ascension to Supreme Commander.[2] Sometime after Shang-Chi established the New House of the Deadly Hand in New York City's Chinatown to serve as the Society's main headquarters, the Warriors of the Deadly Hand became active again. Several Warriors also operated as the Society's engineers, with several of them constructing a prosthetic weapon for Sister Hammer's severed hand and a gateway to Ta-Lo.[3] When the Qilin Riders attacked the House of the Deadly Hand, the Warriors were led by Jiang Li and Master Ling to defend their headquarters.[4]

When Shang-Chi had the Ten Rings secured in a vault within the House of the Deadly Hand, a couple Warriors discreetly inpsected but were nearly killed by the sentient Rings until Shang-Chi rescued them. Dissatisfied with Shang-Chi's rule, one of the Warriors provided Lady Iron Fan with the vault's access code, which she sold to several criminal organizations after the Ten Rings. The Warriors of the Deadly Hand fought off Hydra while Shang-Chi confronted members of A.I.M., the Red Dot Collective, the Hand and the Inner Demons during the invasion of the House. The turncoat Warrior attempted to barter with Shang-Chi by using Master Ling as a hostage but was quickly overwhelmed by Ling's magic.[5]

Weapons

Despite the Deadly Hand being renowned for open handed combat, many of its Warriors are equipped with weaponry, included swords, bows and arrows and cannons.[4]

Notes

While it is never explicitly stated to how the Warriors of the Deadly Hand disbanded, it is possible that Zheng Zu's Si-Fan, Golden Dawn and Hai-Dai assassins Shang-Chi and other superheroes fought and defeated over the years were in fact the Warriors of the Deadly Hand. All three organizations were confirmed to be aliases for the Five Weapons Society and Zheng Zu used the original House of the Deadly Hand as the main base for his operations. Modern stories have the Si-Fan and Hai-Dai garbed in red, the main color associated with the Deadly Hand.
