History
The early history of Wayfinder largely mirrors that of his Earth-7614 counterpart.
Wayfinder was a prince who lost his kingdom. In exile he found the Sword in the Star, an artifact of great power. Although he was blinded in the process, the sword would guide Wayfinder, prompting him to journey through several other planets before finally making his way to Earth, along with thousands of followers.[1]
However, this was the Earth of the distant past, overrun by Demons. Wayfinder and his followers were unable to defeat the demons, and so the sword created a world within Earth where he and his followers might live. This world would become known as the Microverse. In addition, the sword transformed Wayfinder, making him the first being to ever wield the Enigma Force. After Wayfinder's death, the sword was hidden and the Enigma Force began seeking a new host, finally finding one in one of Wayfinder's descendants; Arcturus Rann.[1]
