History
After Kirsten's mother died, Wendell's relationship with his daughter got strained. And, to make things worse, he married a younger woman, Dana, that Kirsten despised.[1]
Despite his daughter's feelings towards him, he still had great pride in her. After hearing she was dating Matt Murdock, who had recently come out publicly as Daredevil, he reached her to make amends. Inspired by Matt's restored relationship with his mother, she agreed to meet him, but was very upset, when Wendell revealed one of the reasons for the meeting was to buy an autobiography from Matt, detailing his life as Daredevil.[1]See Also
