History
Origin
That ancient Canadian curse[7] was laid by the Elder Gods, and as such was known as the Curse of the Elder Gods.[6] The curse transformed into a Wendigo anyone in Canada that eat human flesh.[4]
Outbreaks
At least one infestation was dealt with by Talisman.[1]
Functionment
There is usually (or at least it is thought that) there is ever only one or two Wendigo at the time,[1] as a Wendigo is stated to b doomed to roam the woods until the curse is taken up by another.[7]
The curse transforms any person who eats human flesh of another human being in the Canadian wilderness into a massive, fur-covered humanoid beast with fangs and razor sharp claws.[citation needed]
It has been revealed that a person can inherit the curse of the Wendigo if he or she is scratched or bitten by the beast and survives.[1]
The Wendigo is a monstrous form with beastial intellect, though some individuals were able to retain their human intelligence using magic.[7] All Wendigo possess sufficient superhuman strength to lift up to 100 tons.[citation needed] Wendigo have proven to stalemate an enraged Hulk.[citation needed] Wendigo, in spite of their great size, also possess superhuman speed and stamina, capable of exerting themselves for several days before becoming fatigued.[citation needed] The Wendigo also possesses a highly advanced healing factor capable of fully healing almost any injury.[citation needed] The only known method of killing a Wendigo is to remove the curse by sacrificing a heart to the Elder Gods, whilst in Canada.[citation needed]
Counters
Talisman had found a powerful counterspell for Wendigo infestation on a limited scale.[1]See Also
