Synopsis
In the Renaissance-themed universe of 1602, Wanda Merlin transports Captain Carter, who reluctantly agrees to aid her and Sir Nicholas Fury upon discovering an imminent incursion threatening their world. As a dimensional tear rips open, Carter intervenes, saving Prince Loki from its pull but tragically failing to rescue Queen Hela. Subsequently, she becomes a target, pursued by Sir Harold "The Happy" Hogan and the Royal Yellowjackets, acting under King Thor's command. Despite the Watcher's warnings of the universe's destined demise, Carter remains resolute, steadfast in her determination to assist. Eavesdropping on King Thor's council, she learns of another displaced individual, termed the Forerunner. Seeking aid, she tracks down the unconventional "madman" Tony Stark, seeking his expertise in retrieving King Thor's powerful scepter, housing the elusive Time Stone. Stark directs Carter to an outlaw group comprising Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, and Scott Lang. After an encounter with the group while they attempt to pilfer Prince Loki's possessions, Carter aligns herself with them at a local pub. Ambushed by their pursuers, including Sir Hogan, the Yellowjackets, and the formidable Destroyer, Carter valiantly fights back. Voluntarily surrendering, she orchestrates her escape and liberates a concealed Bruce Banner, seeking Stark's aid thereafter. Stark unveils his tracking device capable of locating the enigmatic Forerunner. Together with Rogers, Lang, and Barnes, they infiltrate King Thor's court, initiating a chaotic skirmish. With Wanda Merlin's assistance, Carter secures the Scepter and embeds the Time Stone into Stark's device, unveiling the Forerunner to be none other than Rogers himself, inadvertently causing the temporal anomaly during a battle with Thanos.
Forced to bid farewell to Rogers, Carter facilitates his return to his universe, averting the impending incursion. Retreating to the pub alone, she is unexpectedly joined by Strange Supreme, opening a new chapter in her unforeseen journey.
