Synopsis for "What If? Captain America Had Formed the Avengers?"

After S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Clint Barton, Jasper Sitwell, and Frank Castle had defeated Namor and found a man in ice, the formerly frozen man claimed to be Captain America, which had confused the agents. After Namor and Frank realized that he was the real Captain America and that the one who became president, was an impostor, they joined him when he started the Avengers, but not before the S.H.I.EL.D. agent killed Clint and Sitwell. After arriving in British Columbia, the Avengers fought Wolverine, who became known as the Hulk after acquiring the curse of the Wendigo, before convincing him to join them. Next, the Avengers recruited Sam Wilson, who had entered the house Henry Pym and his wife Anna, both killed by S.H.I.E.L.D.'s. After being invited by the Captain to join the team, Sam took one of the late scientist's suits and his capsules, so that he could become Giant-Man. The Avengers fought Magneto at Magnus' Academy for Gifted Youngsters in an unsuccessful attempt to recruit him. Then, they infiltrated the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and freed Thor, who was being tortured with the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, which had been stolen by the agency from Doctor Strange, who they killed. In an attempt to break into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s serum vault and cut off their supply, Captain America encountered Dr. Erskine, who had been kept alive by his own serum, before encountering President "Steve Rogers", who revealed himself to be Red Skull in a clone body of the American soldier. After Captain America defeated the Red Skull, he joined his teammates in fighting against other super soldiers. Although they all lost their lives doing so, America later became a country for all men and women, regardless of race, creed, or color.
