An explorer meets a mud creature in a swamp who claims that his spaceship was destroyed years ago and wishes that the man request from those in charge the sum total of human knowledge. When this is presented to Taboo, he reveals his hostile intention to take the knowledge back to his world and prepare an invasion of Earth, as he can travel through space without requiring a spaceship. The explorer is remorseful in the role he has played as Taboo's dupe, but his comrades tell him to watch the atmosphere that Taboo has faded into and see what happens. Suddenly there is a huge explosion, and they reveal to the explorer that they had secreted an H-bomb in the capsule, just in case.
