Overview

The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur were two American aviators, engineers, inventors, and aviation pioneers who are generally credited with inventing, building, and flying the Earth's first successful airplane.

Legacy

The aircraft is now permanently display in the main entryway's Milestones of Flight gallery at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.[1]
