Synopsis for "Kid Colt Outlaw"

Kid Colt is camping for the night when he is suddenly attacked by Dan Calhoun and his posse who think that the Kid is part of a gang of hired guns trying to prevent him from getting his cattle to the local Chippewa reservation on time. Kid Colt tries to defend himself and is about to draw his guns when he spots Calhoun's daughter Nancy among them and decides to leave peacefully. Riding to the land office of the Chippewa, Kid Colt is surprised to see Pony Smith, a man who saved Kid Colt from being hung a year prior. Pony needs his help and Kid Colt is indebted to him, so the outlaw hero goes inside to hear what Pony needs.

He meets Ute Delmaine who is the land officer for the Chippewa who is expecting Calhoun to deliver his cattle on a certain time the next day. They explain that they need help in preventing Calhoun from meeting his deadline then forcing him to sell his beef cheap and then Pony would sell it at a hefty profit. They ask Kid Colt to help them stampede the cattle and then help with the purchase. Kid Colt finds the idea somewhat legit and decides to go along, but can't help but think that something fishy is going on.

However when Pony decides orders his men to shoot to kill, Kid Colt realizes that there is something not right. During the stampede, Pony is thrown from his horse and Kid Colt saves him from drowning in a river, paying his debt to Pony for saving his life. Kid Colt then confronts Ute and Pony and tells him that he is no longer helping them. When they try to shoot him, Kid Colt disarms Ute and kills Smith. He then rides to the Calhoun's and offers to help them stop the attackers. Succeeding in driving off the rustlers, Kid Colt joins the Calhoun family to the land office where he forces Delmaine to buy the cattle and honor his contract.

While riding out on the range, the Black Rider spots a group of people leaving the town of Bedlam. He approaches them to see what the issue is, and meets with the leader of the travelers, a man named Eben Adams, who explains that their town was taken over by outlaws led by a man named Blackjack who shot down their sheriff and took over things.

The Black Rider tells the people to stick around and let him see what he can do. The Black Rider is spotted by a sentry who goes to warn Blackjack that the Black Rider is coming. To make matters worse a tornado is touching down nearby and heading on a path toward Bedlam. The Black Rider continues on even with this new danger pressing down on the town.
