History

Sandman was a member of the Frightful Four who was in command of the province of Wittland. Sandman and the others had a meeting with the Squadron Sinister in the Wastelands about the Four's supposed annexation of Europix. Hyperion suggested that the Four should let the Squadron handle Europix or they would suffer the consequences.

Whizzer dispersing Sandman's form

Sandman helped his teammates against Captain Savage and his men. Then a battle broke out between both sides until the Squadron showed up to interfere with the Frightful Four's plans. The Whizzer used his speed to disperse Sandman's form over a few miles making it hard to reconstitute himself.

Sandman meeting with Nighthawk

Sandman appeared sometime later before Nighthawk and Whizzer on the outskirts of Utopolis. Nighthawk revealed that Sandman was his inside guy among the Four. Baker brought him the Argonite Gun in exchange for a hefty payout.

Sandman then ventured to the nation of Nutopia to have an audience with the Baron, Jacob Burnsley. He convinced Burnsley that a major power shift was going to happen between Nighthawk and Hyperion so it would be the right moment to liberate Utopolis. Sandman joined the battle against the remaining members of the Squadron.

He shaped his sand form into a battering ram and lunged forward knocking Nighthawk to the ground. Sandman thought that Nighthawk would be ruffed up due to going a few rounds with Hyperion but Richmond used the Power Prism to create a construct of Hyperion and used it to punch Sandman in the face knocking him out.
