History
Doctor Strange was a member of a team of Avengers who teamed up with Kang the Conqueror and were being hunted through the Timestream by the original Avengers after their attempted rescue of the Scarlet Witch led to war with the Avengers.
Some time in the future, on the planet Moord, Iron Lad was battling Kang but was stopped by the arrival of the Avengers. Kang informed him that William was dead and used it convince him to travel back to his own time. However, William was revealed to be alive.[1]
