History

Wilson lived in a poor family, was afraid of mice and when he was seven his mother committed suicide by jumping from a window. His abusing father often took him near mice just to witness his fear firsthand. A year after his mother's death he found a half dead puppy and took care of him for 3 weeks but when his father discovered this, he kicked the puppy out of the same window from where his mother jumped. To avenge the puppy he put drugs in his father's beer to make him sleep, tied him up with a rope, put cheese on his face and freed hungry rats with him being awake. He started working for mafioso Don Rigoletto.

One day in 2001, Don Rigoletto had trouble with a gambler and sent Wilson out to deal with him. He fell in love with the gambler's girlfriend Vanessa, the two got married and had a son, Richard, months after they met.[1] After eight years Don Rigoletto convinced the other mob bosses of a plan to distract the Punisher by putting up a fake Kingpin in charge, with Wilson in the role.[2] However, Rigoletto discovered that Wilson was trying to become an actual Kingpin, by murdering the other mob bosses and stealing the money. In retaliation, Rigoletto and his men kept Vanessa and Richard hostage, while the Punisher was distracted fighting against the Mennonite, a hit-man sent by Rigoletto.

Wilson killed Rigoletto but not before Riogletto murdered Richard.[1] Afterwards, Wilson became the Kingpin of Crime and hired a lunatic assassin, Bullseye, to eliminate the Punisher. It led to a battle at Fisk's tower, leading to disastrous results as Fisk lost men, Bullseye ended up paralyzed and in a coma, while Punisher was arrested and imprisoned.[3]

Months later, a confrontation with the Punisher at the old Castle[4] house led to a bloody fight between the Kingpin and the Punisher, ending with Punisher killing the Kingpin in front of Fisk's tower.[5]

  • In Punisher MAX Vol 1 5 Fisk mentioned that he first met Vanessa "eight years ago". Punisher MAX Vol 1 18 shows that Richard Fisk died in 2009, meaning that not only does the events of Punisher MAX #5 take place in 2009, it meant that Wilson's son Richard was born not long after Wilson met Vanessa.
