History

Kingpin was the mayor of New York and Daredevil wanted to depose him. When the Vigil killed Kingpin's henchman Wesley, the mayor accused Daredevil of the murder and recruited several villains to attack him, but they failed. Matt Murdock's "twin", Mike Murdock revealed that the Mad Thinker had falsified the elections, so Matt suggested to Ben Hochberg to open a trial against Fisk. The mayor was present as a witness, but he left the trial indignant; people protested about Fisk's election. So, Kingpin, in anger, resigned.
