History

Winter was conceived in 1982 between her parents, Miracleman and Liz Moran. While pregnant, Liz was captured by Dr. Emil Gargunza, who had hoped to use the superhuman baby's body for his own plan to become immortal. However, while examining Liz's womb, Gargunza saw the fetus look at him through the camera, and was shocked. Later, Miracleman would kill Gargunza and when Liz went into labor, would fly her to a picturesque mountain area to give birth. After ebbing delivered, Winter started speaking almost immediately.She also displayed abilities such as healing Michael Moran's missing fingers (bitten off by Miracledog, and controlling her mother's emotions.

The Qys that came to Earth to eliminate the Miracleman and his companions decided not to kill Miracleman after learning that he had a daughter. That daughter, Winter, was actually a Human/Qys Hybrid, and not a modified human like the Miracleman himself. This made them think of her as an actual being and not just an unintelligent beast. The fact that Qys aren't able to reproduce, yet a new Qys was born, also sparked their interest.

The whole situation proved too much for Liz, who left to live with her sister. Winter as well would leave before 1985, telling her father that she was leaving to see the planet of the Qys. She explored the cosmos before returning years later to Earth to join her father's new regime.
