History

Oskar lived on the mutant island of Krakoa under the mutant name Wintergeist, where he dated Cecilia Reyes.

Following Krakoa's fall during the war against Orchis, Wintergeist would have difficulty finding stable employment, eventually becoming a mercenary and being hired by X-Term, the mutant supremacist terrorist organization spearheaded by Darkstar. He would quickly leave the group after they tasked him with killing child soldiers and, fearing retribution, would leave Cecilia to protect her.

Months later, Wintergeist reunited with Cecilia, when he joined her on the ClikClok X-Factor as a "loaner" mutant.

When X-Term raided the military base where X-Factor was located, the team was anesthetized, kidnapped and put aboard a helicopter. As revenge for Wintergeist's betrayal, Darkstar then pushed him out while he was still unconscious, killing him.
