Synopsis for ""A Woman Scorned""
Arcade envisions sending androids to capture Wolverine, but Mastermind senses a strange feeling through their psi-link. When she questions him, Arcade lies to her, leading to her distrust in him. She only had agreed to help Arcade because he claimed that Wolverine had killed his assistant, Miss Locke. However, Arcade's face, now damaged by Wolverine, seems to confirm the story.
Meanwhile, Wolverine and Gambit realize they have been manipulated and are not really in Japan. They confront Arcade and his androids, eventually discovering the truth about Locke's death. Martinique uses her psi-powers to extract the truth from Arcade's mind, revealing his guilt about killing his long-time assistant himself. Feeling used, Martinique leaves a little present in Arcade's mind to torment him.
Wolverine and Gambit wake up to find Inspector Andrews arresting Arcade. After paying their respects at Alexandra's grave, they intend to return to the Xavier Institute. Arcade is locked up in a mental institution in London, where he has continuous nightmares involving Miss Locke operating an elevator.
