Synopsis for 1st story
On Alcatraz, Domino, who has a few bullet holes in her body, spits out two teeth into a sink. Elixir finds her and asks what happened. A brief flashback shows Domino being attacked by unknown attackers. At its end, Domino tells Elixir to heal the damage. But before the latter could, he is stopped by Wolverine, whom he alerted against Domino's wishes. Wolverine demands to know who did this to her, at which she reluctantly answers the Assassins Guild. She admits that they came to her before she hooked up with S.H.I.E.L.D., the Guild came to her to help out against the Hand and take out a weapons smuggling operation in New Orleans. But she found out that the Guild had deceived her, as the Hand was holding Japanese girls prisoner. While the two cults were fighting, she smuggled the girls out and into their country's embassy in Texas. But the Guild was angry at her and wanted payback.
Wolverine then shoots the hinges off the door, revealing X-23 behind it, who figured that the Guild is not just going to let Domino escape. Wolverine tells her to stay out of this and instructs Elixir to heal Domino. He later takes Domino on a ride through San Francisco, though she insists that she doesn't need his help. She also tells him she has taken note of how he's been looking at her since Japan. Then suddenly, a bullet shots through the windshield, hitting Wolverine and causing the car to swerve and crash. Getting out, Domino finds out that the Guild has found her and is angry that she isn't alone. She pretends to surrender, only to "accidentally" fire off her gun. With all her luck powers and bullets at her disposal, Domino manages to hold her own before Wolverine recovers and assists her. After the Guildsmen are all killed, the two share a passionate kiss, breaking it off after hearing Razor-Fist calling, "Where's the money?!" Wolverine repeats the question, at which Domino says, "Whoops."
