Synopsis for "The Mirror Liars (Shattershot, Pt. 4)"
This story takes places in a potential future where a series of Mojos were defeated and the former slaves took over, led by Shatterstar. However, this new society had become authoritarian, emphasizing gladiatorial games featuring captured Spineless Ones. The creator of the Mojoverse slaves, Arize, traveled to Earth with two rebel Spineless Ones to seek help from this future's incarnation of X-Force in deposing Shatterstar.
They all return to Mojoworld and use the gladiatorial games to surprise and overthrow the ruling forces. When Shatterstar sees Arize and his old friends leading the fight, he realizes that he lost his way. Shatterstar's lieutenant, the Scheduler, tries to kill him and seize power, but the combined opposition is victorious. Shatterstar spares the Scheduler's life to begin a more just path for the planet. As the people cheer and the story comes to a close, an elderly Longshot quietly celebrates the restoration of freedom to the planet and walks off unnoticed.

Synopsis for "The Crush"
Leech, Artie, and Taki are playing with Legos in the play room of their school. Taki is controlling the toys with his mutant powers when they are only supposed to practice their power at certain times. Their teacher, who Taki has a crush on, catches them and tells Taki to bring her the Legos to put away as punishment. Ms. Huntington, the teacher, tells Taki that she will be going on a date that night. Her boyfriend, Patrick, comes in and it is clear that Taki does not like him.
Later when sneaking around at night, Taki is nearly caught by Patrick who is searching through student files. Patrick talks to someone on the phone about how he is only using Ms. Huntington for a plan to hurt the mutant kids. Taki tells Leech and Artie about all this and they follow Patrick in a flying craft created by Taki. Ms. Huntington sees them fly off and follows as well. The boys discover that Patrick is part of an anti-mutant group, so they crash through the wall of the group's hideout to get evidence. In a scuffle the room is set on fire, attracting the authorities. The boys escape as their teacher arrives to learn the truth about her boyfriend. The issue ends the next day at their school as Taki hits on his teacher and she smiles back at him.

Synopsis for "Know Your Enemy"
During training, Cable runs the X-Force team through a review of their greatest enemies. This includes typical villains such as Masque, Kane, and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He also includes Sunspot and the X-Men in this group, emphasizing his philosophical differences with Charles Xavier. This leads to Cannonball and Boom-Boom storming out. Domino tries to tell Cable that he is being too absolutist, but he refuses to see how Xavier's dream can be a part of his war.
Notes
- This Issue includes a bonus pin-up gallery of:
- The third story is not so much a story as a "Villain's Gallery" where Cable quizzes X-Force on their top enemies, many of whom were hardly even recurring characters, let alone villains in the X-Force series.
- "The Mirror Liars" is a conclusion to the Shattershot story arc. The first three parts of that story arc were, by all indications, within the Earth-616 reality. This final story takes place in the potential future of Earth-84309.
