Synopsis for "Necrosha: Chapter Three"
Selene oversees the resurrection of the 16 million mutants who died on Genosha. However, she senses that many of them no longer possess their powers, having lost them during M-Day even though they were already dead. Caliban tells his queen there are still one million powered mutants resurrected on the island. Selene instructs him to find an “architect” so that her millions of slaves can begin to rebuild the city. She also orders Eli Bard to bring her her blade and prepare the ritual that will allow her to absorb all of the souls on Genosha.
Sometime later, Bard takes Blink aside and confides in her that he does not have Selene’s dagger, having lost it while fending off Apache spirits after resurrecting Warpath’s tribe. He asks Blink to take him to the X-Men so that he can get it back from Warpath. She agrees, but instead of taking them to Utopia, Blink teleports them in front of Selene’s throne and reveals Bard’s deceit to her queen. Selene orders Wither to take her Coven to the X-Men and retrieve the dagger, and to leave Bard “among the dead” if they cannot find it.
Across the world, the X-Men are fending off the invasion of Utopia by the rest of Selene’s resurrected forces. As the battle rages outside, Dr. Nemesis examines an inexplicably ailing Wolfsbane in the med bay. He gives her a sedative that for some reason causes her to morph back to her human form. A CT scan reveals to everyone’s surprise that Rahne is pregnant, and that the fetus is killing her. Hrimhari runs out to the balcony and howls with grief. Hela appears behind him to answer his call.
On the ground, the X-Men have their backs against the wall. Emma Frost and Iceman have been taken out of commission; Cyclops orders Dazzler to get them to safety while he and Domino provide cover. Wolverine, Warpath, and Archangel arrive and provide support, but it’s not enough to prevent Selene’s army from re-forming thanks to the techno-organic virus. As the X-Men get ready to retreat, there is a flash of pink light and Selene’s Coven appears before them.
