Synopsis for "What You Wish For"
In the castle in Limbo, the Darkchilde battles Witchfire but is easily defeated by her. Witchfire claims that everything that belonged to Belasco is now hers, including Illyana's soul. She then holds up the amulet with the single Bloodstone that she has just taken from the Darkchilde.
Elsewhere in Limbo, the X-Men are ferociously battling demons. At one point, Colossus smashes Rockslide's body apart so that he can reform it using Limbo rock and become stronger. Their situation looks grim until one of the demons uses a sword to impale Wolverine through his upper body, triggering his berserker rage. As Wolverine begins to slash his way through the demons, the other X-Men stay out of his way.
In the castle, the Darkchilde desperately tries to get her amulet back but Witchfire uses it to cast a spell that does something to her that Witchfire doesn't explain beyond saying that it won't be pretty. Witchfire then uses her sword to stab the Darkchilde through the back.
Elsewhere, once Wolverine has thrown the last of the demons into some lava, Colossus returns him to normal by pulling the sword out of his body. As they discuss where to go next, Pixie points out Belasco's Castle in the distance.
Within that castle, in the room where the Darkchilde and her Soulsword are both lying on the floor in a pool of blood, Witchfire casts a spell that removes the single Bloodstone from the Darkchilde's amulet and transfers it to join the three in the Bloodstone Amulet. Outside, Pixie feels pain and states that the emptiness inside her is growing. Able to feel her soul and feeling that it is calling to her because something is wrong, she uses her spell to teleport to it. Wolverine wants Nightcrawler to teleport them to the castle but he says that it's too far for one jump and impossible with passengers.
Inside the castle, Pixie comes across a mirror whose reflection shows her as a demonic version of herself. Fleeing from that image, Pixie enters a chamber where Witchfire is standing before a bound Darkchilde. Spotting the discarded amulet, Pixie sees that her Bloodstone is gone. Witchfire declares that Pixie's soul is now hers, then grabs her by her neck, calls her apprentice and begins to use her magic to forge the fifth and final Bloodstone from her soul. As part of the process, Pixie's body begins to become more demonic in appearance.
Outside, the X-Men hear Pixie's scream but believe that it is Illyana. This prompts Nightcrawler to risk teleporting all five of them. They appear in the castle right above Witchfire and Pixie, disrupting the Bloodstone creation spell. Although Rockslide and Mercury are immune to magic, Witchfire is able to take control of Colossus and Wolverine so she has them attack the two young X-Men who are quickly defeated.
Taking advantage of the fact that Witchfire has overlooked Nightcrawler, the Darkchilde gets his attention, mentions the dagger and tells him that he is attuned to it and able to use it, and he knows what he must do. Reluctantly, Nightcrawler stabs the Soul Dagger into Illyana's upper body. As Witchfire resumes her creation of a Bloodstone from Pixie, Colossus punches Nightcrawler.

Notes
- Next issue, Nightcrawler uses the Soul Dagger to extract the Soulsword from within Illyana's body. This is a plot point that should be explained, considering that it was still outside her body on page 11 of this issue, but no explanation is ever provided.
