Notes
- From Nate Grey and the Sugar Man's perspective, the events of the lead story take place between X-Man #23 and X-Man #24. Nate travels back in both space and time, before the actual Age of Apocalypse crossover. The Earth-295 reality took the place of the mainstream Marvel Universe reality in X-Men (Vol. 2) #41.
- Chronologically, the next story in the Age of the Apocalypse time-line is Blink #1.
- This story hinges on the fact that Nate would visit the past of the Age of Apocalypse again in the future. That did not come to pass before the character was killed.
- Nate never found the Earth-616 Forge, despite his determination to do so.
- This story fills in some of the blanks of the Age of Apocalypse, such how Forge lost his eye and why Mastermind was mute.
- Forge and Magneto build an interdimensional portal called a fargate, which resembles the portals created by Widget in early issue of Excalibur (also drawn by Alan Davis.
