Synopsis for "Confrontation"
In North Carolina, Nate Grey, weakened after a battle with Dark Beast, falls into the ocean during a lightning storm but is later rescued by Sheriff L.B. Kellogg.
At the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, Blaquesmith, a visitor from the future, meets Professor Xavier and reveals he's tracking a powerful mutant boy with a bio-signature similar to Cable's. Xavier realizes this boy may be the source of a recent psionic presence he detected.
In Skunk Hollow, Nate learns about the Legacy Virus and faces discrimination from the locals when he reveals he's a mutant. He uses his powers to make them forget about him and leaves the café. Xavier tracks him in his astral form but is confronted by Nate. Xavier talks about the X-Men, but for Nate it should be Magneto who is leading the X-Men. A destructive battle ensues, forcing Charles to create an illusion of his demise to end the conflict.
Back at the Xavier Institute, Charles tells Blaquesmith about the encounter and the need to find Nate again, as he's now more dangerous and unstable.
