Synopsis for "Original Sin (Part Four )"
Years ago, Professor Charles Xavier promised an amnesiac Wolverine he would help Logan recover his memories - memories that Xavier himself blocked in an effort to deprogram his mind. Now, the two men are staking out Sebastian Shaw’s compound on an island in the South Pacific, where they believe Daken is being kept. They agree to make their move at nightfall.
Meanwhile, Miss Sinister tries to get Daken to relax with her by the swimming pool in the compound. Daken is tired of waiting for the help Claudine promised that will give him back his memories. She tells him they need a more powerful telepath - namely, Xavier - to set off the psychic trap within his mind before she can help him. Then, she deploys a psychic blast that incapacitates Daken; two Hellfire guards carry him away to the compound’s lab.
That night, Xavier psychically disables two guards and he and Wolverine approach the front door of the compound. Before they can enter, it explodes, revealing Sebastian Shaw. Shaw, significantly powered up from absorbing the energy from the explosion, attacks Wolverine as Xavier runs into the building. Shaw uses his superior strength to get Wolverine in a chokehold, but Wolverine fights back and destroys a nearby electrical box, plunging the exterior of the compound into darkness and giving himself and his superior senses the advantage.
Xavier finds Daken prone on a hospital bed, but before he can get close, Miss Sinister psychically attacks. Xavier is stunned by her existence, but breaks her hold on him with a psychic shield he took from a Hellfire member. He knocks her out and begins to access Daken’s mind. Xavier gradually breaks down Daken’s mental barriers until he reaches the psychic trap, which detonates, causing enough psychic feedback to wake Daken and incapacitate Xavier, who falls, bleeding from his ears and nose.
Miss Sinister then enters and attempts to implant memories of Daken being madly in love with her and trusting his “uncle” Sebastian Shaw with his life. However, Daken tells her this story “didn’t take”; the destruction of the mental trap also caused all of his real memories to return. He pops his claws in Claudine’s midsection and, sick of psychics messing with his mind, turns to Xavier. Just as he’s about to unsheath his claws into Charles’ skull, Wolverine appears.
