Synopsis for "The Hour of Uranos"
Commander Brand warns the Great Ring of the incoming threat of the Eternals, revealed by precognition to soon enter conflict with mutantkind. Translating for Idyll the Seer, Ora Serrata gives a prophecy for the coming conflict. Cable begins to brief them on the threat before a blue light interrupts, and Magneto calls out to Isca the Unbeaten to make the first move against the enemy using her power to never lose. She beheads Idyll, choosing her own side before Nightcrawler teleports her away to protect his fellow mutants. Uranos arrives and begins his hour of annihilation, claiming to come in service of correcting mutantkind’s excess deviation.
The Eternal’s vast arsenal deploys all over the planet of Arakko and begins to rain down destruction. Uranos strikes down Ora Serrata before turning his gaze on the recently arrived Legion. He follows Legion away, and Sobunar and Lactuca leave to defend the broken land in the moments before Uranos returns. Lodus Logos summons forth metal, providing Magneto with the material to entrap the elder Eternal. Across Arakko, the Arakkii and their allies rally against the machines as others evacuate. Having defeated Nightcrawler over the ocean, Isca battles against Sobunar’s creatures underwater.
Uranos breaks free from his metal and punches a hole in Magneto’s chest, bringing down the master of magnetism. Cable unleashes his most powerful weapon, Xilo the First Defender tries to scour the Eternal’s bones, Brand attempts to escape, but all fall against him. The Keep is destroyed and Arakkii are forced to retreat as Uranos and his forces destroy 98 percent of life in a fifty-mile radius. His hour complete, the invader and his armies leave the red planet. What remains of Xilo wakes Lodus Logos, having hidden him during the onslaught. They find a battered but living Ora Serrata as well as Magneto, using his powers to stave off death and asserting his command.
