Synopsis for "Worlds Apart Part 2"

In a flashback, Cyclops battles some of the Morlocks in the Alley, but while he is distracted with the fight, the Shadow King takes over his mind and sends him to attack the X-Men.

On the Astral Plane, the Shadow King explains his plan to Storm, while on the steps of the Wakandan palace, Black Panther orders his guards to kill Storm and Gentle. Storm attacks with a lightning bolt, freezes the guards, and escapes with Nezhno into the forest.

Storm concentrates on atmospheric disturbances in order to find Cyclops flying back to San Francisco. She destroys his X-Jet with a lightning bolt to save the X-Men. The Dora Milaje then attack, forcing Gentle to use his powers to save himself and Storm. Although the Dora Milaje are defeated, Black Panther arrives to fight Storm.

Solicit Synopsis

The game is set. The Black Panther, ruler of Wakanda, is being held captive and the military might of his entire kingdom has been turned on the one person who could free him: his wife and queen, Storm. But if Storm chooses to fight her fellow Wakandans and rescue her husband, she does so at a cost: she may not be able to save her teammates, the X-Men, who are in similar peril halfway around the world. Writer Chris Yost (X-FORCE, NEW X-MEN) and up-and-coming artist DIOGENES NEVES pose the question: Does Storm stand by the Black Panther or the X-Men?
