Synopsis for 1st story

The X-Men arrive on the Master Mold satellite to both destroy it and prevent Bolivar Trask from sending a signal. While Wolverine hunts down Trask, the other X-Men engage in battle with a bunch of Sentinels. Gambit accidentally kills himself and Rogue by blowing a hole in the satellite walls. Beast is killed soon after when the Blackbird spacecraft is destroyed, followed by Cyclops being obliterated by a laser beam. Wolverine confronts Trask and claims to want revenge for something terrible that happened to Jubilee, but Wolverine's gloating takes too long and Trask is able to send the signal before being killed. Sensing that they have failed, Jean Grey orders Magneto to destroy the satellite. He does so easily, but dies along with the remaining X-Men in the process.

On Earth, in New York's Krakoan Embassy, Psylocke explains to Robert Kelly, Vindicator, and Henry Peter Gyrich how the X-Men founded Krakoa as a safe-haven for all mutants without hurting any humans, and how they intend to keep that peace for everyone's future. The embassy is then attacked by the Friends of Humanity who still want to kill the mutants, so Psylocke calls in Cable and X-Force via a Krakoan portal to deal with them. She is then called back to Krakoa where the X-Men who died on the Master Mold satellite have been revived, thanks to the mutants' new Resurrection Protocols that let them cheat death. Xavier further explains that Krakoa is an island paradise for mutants, where old grudges are put aside and all are friends. Despite everybody else being happy about it, Wolverine is pissed off that it took the death of Jubilee to unite everyone.

Xavier and Magneto then go see Jubliee, who is hiding in a secret bunker after faking her death to unite everyone. She reveals that she's lived 10 lives, and every time the Orchis Protocols get set up, everything comes crashing down. In space, Trask, now in a Sentinel's body, has assembled Orchis, including Henry Peter Gyrich and Lady Deathstrike, to crush the mutants once and for all.
