—PowerhouseI'm fine, Mom. I mean... I'm not fine. Not really. I can... I can feel it. My powers are still broken. Everything feels broken... including us. I know I shouldn't have run off like I did, but you guys just... you don't listen. You've taken me and Val through the universe -- through the Multiverse! Shown us amazing things in dangerous situations! You've spent your life preparing me to go out in the world, to learn. And now, when I want to learn about myself, about mutants... about people like me... you won't even talk with me about it.

Synopsis for "Welcome to the New World"
On Doom Island, the X-Men and Fantastic Four must face the Sentinels unleashed by Doctor Doom after Wolverine unknowingly killed a Latverian mutant. In the lab, Sue Richards attempts to halt the procedure meant to stabilize her son's powers, but Doom refuses and even repels Kate Pryde by manipulating her abilities. Sue allows Emma Frost to control her mind and combine her powers with Nightcrawler's to defeat the Latverian mutants trapped helplessly inside Doom's armor.
Meanwhile, Kate regains control over her powers and frees Franklin, enabling him to deal with the Sentinels. The immediate threat is neutralized, but Doom warns that interrupting the procedure may have caused irreversible damage to Franklin's powers. He orders everyone to leave his island, but Professor X declares that the X-Men will take all the Latverian mutants with them to Krakoa. Franklin is also granted permission by his parents to live on Krakoa.
Three weeks later, Beast conducts his routine examination of Franklin and confirms that living on Krakoa has at least slowed the gradual loss of his powers. When it’s time for Franklin to visit his parents for dinner, Professor X and Magneto announce they will accompany him. Their true intention is to confront Reed Richards. The X-Men have discovered that Reed's device, which can hide the X-gene, could theoretically also be used to suppress a mutant's powers entirely. This is unacceptable to Professor X and Magneto. Using his telepathic abilities, Professor X disables Reed's capacity to replicate the device in his mind, while also ensuring that Reed will remember what the Professor has done. This will remind Reed Richards to adjust to the "new world".
