Synopsis for "Queens of Sacrifice (Kings of Pain pt. 3)"

X-Force and the New Warriors arrive at Muir Island to warn them about the return of Proteus, but get attacked by Moira's Shadow King-possessed X-Men. Once the full force of X-Force and the New Warriors arrive, though, Moira surrenders and agrees to help try and stop Harness and Piecemeal from reviving Proteus. Harness and Piecemeal have arrived in Edinburgh, the epicenter of the dispersed energy, and Piecemeal begins to absorb it all. X-Force, the New Warriors, and Moira's X-Men arrive to stop them, splitting into two groups to fight Harness and remove the energy from Piecemeal. The first team is able to defeat Harness, revealing her to be a woman. The second group, however, fails to remove the energy from Piecemeal, and he reveals that Harness is his mother before he explodes into the energy of the newly-revived Proteus.
