Synopsis for "The Enemy of My Enemy..."

Rogue, continuing to struggle with inner turmoil, furiously lashes out, demanding to be left alone. Iceman, her friend and teammate, attempts to reason with her and protect their rental car, damaged in the midst of their journey from Key West to Seattle. Rogue's frustration only intensifies as she grapples with unknown emotions and memories she absorbed from Gambit, the man she is in love with.

Despite Iceman's efforts to calm her, Rogue breaks free, determined to uncover the painful secrets she pulled from Gambit's mind.

Meanwhile, Gambit used the X-Men's Blackbird to fly to Seattle, questioning the impact of love on his life. He seeks to ensure Rogue's well-being and prevent her from discovering a truth that could change their relationship.

In a bar outside the University of Washington, Rogue's powers (and her attractiveness) attract attention among the students, and she unleashes her anger, destroying the surroundings. Iceman intervenes, trying to guide her toward developing her powers, but Rogue is haunted by traumatic memories and struggles to trust others, including Gambit. She thinks about the impact on her ability to love and be loved. Meanwhile, Gambit, too, grapples with the fear of losing everything, particularly Rogue.

As they reunite in an abandoned theater, emotions run high, with Rogue torn between her desire for intimacy and her fear of being hurt. Gambit offers to break down their barriers, but she decides to take some time away from the X-Men to confront her inner demons.

As Gambit finds himself alone in Seattle, he is approached by Mister Sinister, whom Gambit seems to know very well and who reminds Remy that escaping his history is impossible. Somehow, Gambit's past and present selves are intertwined, leaving him to question his identity and his role as an X-Man.

Meanwhile, Graydon Creed ponders with the idea of one of his staff members to become the next president of the United States of America. This would change the destiny of mutantkind ...
