Synopsis for "They're Baaack..."
Gambit and Bishop find themselves in a New York City club, where they encounter a bouncer who recognizes Gambit. They go through a body search and face tense moments as guns are pointed at Bishop. Despite that, they are allowed inside, where they enjoy the club's ambiance. However, Bishop's discomfort is evident, and he confesses that he's not entirely comfortable in such a setting. Also, he continues to distrust Gambit.
Meanwhile, Jean Grey and Bobby Drake are shopping for a birthday gift for Jean's niece and nephew. They discuss mutant powers, with Bobby eventually summoning the courage to ask Jean to check his mind for traces of Emma Frost. Jean reassures him and both X-Men share a touching moment of understanding.
Unexpectedly, the X-Babies, childlike versions of the X-Men from the Mojoverse, cause a commotion at the club in New York. Gambit and Bishop observe their antics, and the X-Babies explain their origin. However, the tranquility is disrupted when Gog and MaGog, imposing and dangerous creatures, make a dramatic entrance, threatening to eliminate the X-Babies for unknown reasons.
Somewhere in the Midwest, Senator Kelly leads an investigation in a Sentinel research facility. And all clues point to someone ore something named Onslaught.
Meanwhile in an unknown location, a man who looks similar to Magneto finds himself alone and without memories of himself ...
