Synopsis for "Collector's Item"

Bishop and Gambit are faced with the daunting task of stopping a runaway commuter train carrying pain-stricken passengers infected with a mutating plague hurtling towards Manhattan. Gambit devises a risky plan involving filling the engine car with explosive energy, much to Bishop's disbelief and concern. As Bishop reluctantly carries out Gambit's instructions at the front of the speeding train, Gambit continuously encourages him while charging the train with kinetic energy. When Bishop reaches his limit of absorbing that energy, on Gambit's call Bishop finally releases the energy in a massive burst, causing the train to screech to a halt just in time.

Relieved and amazed by their success, Gambit praises Bishop for his contribution to their teamwork. However, their triumph is short-lived as they are suddenly zapped unconscious by an energy blast from Mister Sinister, who emerges with the captured Beast.

Meanwhile, Rogue relocates to Pine Bluff, South Carolina, seeking a normal life away from her mutant identity. However, her encounter with a young boy triggers her fears of accidentally harming others with her powers. Despite her efforts to blend in, she is reminded of the societal prejudices against mutants, leaving her feeling isolated.

At Penn Station, the aftermath of the train wreck unfolds as passengers recount their ordeal to the police, with some mentioning encountering mutants like Beast. In the midst of the chaos, two investigators cross paths with a mysterious figure named Bastion, who takes control of their footage and leaves with ominous implications.

In Sinister's lab, Beast (who actually is Dark Beast) and Gambit find themselves captive, but Gambi outsmarts Sinister and destroys his equipment. However, Sinister escapes, vowing revenge, while Bishop unleashes his powers to intimidate him. As they flee the burning lab, the Dark Beast contemplates the secrets shared between Gambit and Sinister, hinting at potential future conflicts within the X-Men ...
