Quote1 Do you think I've completely given up on my dream of mutants and humans coexisting peacefully? Do you think I don't love you? Because I do. I do... and I want you to always remember that. Someone once told me that I've spent my whole life dreaming the wrong dream... And I'll admit -- the last month has been something of an education -- but there's a small part of me that will never stop believing in that dream. There's a part of me that will never stop believing in you. But it took one month before you tried to kill me. And you were going to try again today, weren't you? Quote2

Synopsis for "Global Economics"

At the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, where global leaders mainly discuss the sudden emergence of the mutant nation of Krakoa. The Krakoan delegation, Apocalypse, Magneto, and Professor Xavier, arrive amid speculation about their attendance. Cyclops and Gorgon, two Captains of Krakoa, accompany the Quiet Council members as bodyguards.

Inside the conference venue, security issues arise, leading to Cyclops and Gorgon being restricted from meetings. Xavier, Magneto, and Apocalypse are escorted to a private dinner with political, academic and business representatives. Discussions begin with a focus on the global impact of Krakoa's existence and its future intentions. The conversation covers trade relationships, closed borders, and the mutants’ exclusive pharmaceutical offerings.

As the mutants assert their stance, tensions rise. Xavier telepathically informs Cyclops of imminent assault teams, leading to a confrontation where Cyclops and Gorgon neutralize the threat. The mutant leaders continue their discussion, emphasizing their intention to leverage economic power and influence rather than engage in direct conflict. Magneto outlines a strategy of economic dominance, suggesting mutants will use human systems to gain control. Despite reassurances of no war, the mutant leaders express a willingness to defend their nation aggressively. The meeting concludes with Magneto warning the human representatives of serious repercussions if they attempt further aggression against Krakoa.

The Krakoan delegation departs Davos, leaving an atmosphere of uneasy tension and unresolved conflict.
