Synopsis for "Back From the Dead (Part 6): The Disc"

Mister Code exploded and although Guy did not die, Billy-Bob died attempting to contain the explosion and lost a foot while doing so. In Europa, the late Henrietta's record label created a new "record" called "Back from the Dead", out of her outtakes and recorded interviews, believing that her death would cause her record sales to rise, as Elvis Presley's did. After Henrietta's new single released, people started dying after humming its tune. Elsewhere, a father and son secluded themselves in a panic room after the former started singing Henrietta's song and was frightened when his son started singing, as well. When the fire department opened the doors, they found the two having strangled each other to death.

After attending Phat's funeral, X-Statix returned to their building before turning their attention to Henrietta's new single. The team went to Europa and crashed into the window of her record label, where they watched a man die after starting to sing her song without finishing it. Back at the X-Statix Tower, El Guapo died when his skateboard pierced his heart, caused by him seeing a zombified Henrietta while skating. As Dead Girl sang Henrietta's song, as she could not die, Phat's missing foot crashed on her head from the sky before the zombified Henrietta approached them.

X-Statix returned to Europa to investigate the place where she first died. Later, after interrogating Dicky, they learned that the country's president gave the order to kill Henrietta. Then, they visited the president and forced him to sing Henrietta's song before teleporting away and leaving him with their zombified former leader.

Trivia

This issue is the last appearance of both El Guapo and Phat.
