History

The Yaka Arrow Controller is a cerebral implant that allows an individual to control the Yaka Arrow. It is directed through whistling. Despite the implant being connected to the brain, Yondu claimed to control the arrow with his heart, not his head.

Model 1

The original model of yaka arrow controller was implanted on top of Yondu Udonta's skull interfacing with his cerebral cortex. The design was sleek metal, similar to a metallic shortcut mohawk. When in use, parts of the controller were illuminated in red. This model was destroyed by laser blast from Nebula.

Model 2

A second yaka arrow controller referred to as a "prototype fin" was later installed by Rocket after being retrieved by Baby Groot and Kraglin Obfonteri. The design was metallic red and larger and more ornate than the previous model appearing similar to a dorsal fin or large mohawk.

After Yondu's death, the control fin was incinerated along with the body, but a second control fin came into the possession of Kraglin who used it to experiment with the freshly repaired yaka arrow.
