Yana Li was the wife of Martin Li, a Chinese man who died attempting to illegally immigrate into the United States of America. Martin was coming to join Yana, who had already successfully immigrated to New York City. Upon Martin's death, the criminal responsible for smuggling the immigrants into America stole his identity; this man later became known as the supervillain Mister Negative, using "Martin Li" as his public persona.[1]
