History

Origins

As a young man Ygor Kaoz killed a magic bear, he then ate the bear and gained magical abilities.

Last Days of Magic

Count Kaoz was one of the numerous magicians summoned by Doctor Strange to inform them about the mysterious killing of thousands of Sorcerers Supreme from different dimensions, which posed a great danger to the magical community. Kaoz disregarded Strange's words, stating that he would be ready with magic and rum when the butchers came.

He was later attacked and eventually captured by the Empirukul just like all the other mages. When the Empirikul were about to kill Magik, Monako sacrificed himself by using the last shreds of magic he still had to free all the other mages by teleporting them away from the Empirikul.
