History
The Ygothic Cyclopeans were described as being "the very antithesis of creation", and "the loathsome spawn of Ygoth". They defied all physical and supernatural laws, and the fabric of space/time itself usually recoil at their presence.
As the War of the Seven Spheres was approaching, assuming human forms, Cyclopeans agents of the Trinity of Ashes, who were opposed by the Vishanti, attacked Doctor Strange in his Sanctum Sanctorum, in an attempt to prevent Strange from joining the War. Strange repelled them by invoking the Vishanti.[1]Powers and Abilities
Powers
Under unrevealed means, the Yogthic Cyclopeans could assume human form.[1]
Weaknesses
Under normal circumstances, the Yothic Cyclopeans were unable to manifest within a relativistic universe.[1]
Notes
- The Ygothic Cyclopeans are possibly a reference to Clifford Ball's Ygoth, a story series published in Weird Tales, in May and July, 1937, and February, 1938. "Cyclopeans" could be a nod to the adjective overused in Lovecraftian tales.
- The nature of Ygoth in the context of Marvel Comics, whether the name designate a place or a being, remain unrevealed.
