History

Yondu was the adoptive father of Peter Quill. He claims to have known Peter's parents well, but whatever connection they had is still unknown at this time. What is known is that, after Meredith Quill's death, Yondu snuck into the church where her funeral was held and offered comfort to Peter. Taking the boy with him into space, Yondu made Peter part of his crew and trained the human over the next few decades, allowing him to become a legendary pirate and adventurer in his own right.
