History
Yusuf Kang was the father to the time-traveling Kamala Kang. He talked to Kamala about how he met the person she was studying Dr. Francis Ecklestein during one of his lectures when he was young man.

Yusuf being killed by a truck
Kamala decided instead of studying him, she could travel back in time to meet the man in person. She was a little weary about what future implications would happen if she engaged him but decided to do it anyways. But this ended up backfiring on her as the Doctor was hit by a moving truck that killed him. So she decided to go back in time mere minutes before she originally got there to make sure he stayed alive. As she pulled the Doctor out of the way, the truck ended up hitting someone else, a past version of her father Yusuf instead.
She decided to go back to prevent her father's tragedy but was stopped by divergent versions of herself telling her not to believe any of them. Whatever complications of Yusuf's death had on the present is unknown.[1]Notes
