Early Life[]
Yvette Douglas was the wife of Arthur Douglas, a successful real estate agent and amateur saxophone player. The couple had one daughter, Heather Douglas, with whom they shared a seemingly ordinary life prior to a fateful encounter that would change their destinies forever.[1]
Death[]

While the family was driving back from vacation across the Mojave Desert from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, their car passed beneath a spacecraft belonging to the Mad Titan Thanos, who was on a covert surveillance mission to Earth. Fearing that the vehicle's passengers might have seen his ship, Thanos destroyed the automobile with an energy blast and landed to confirm their deaths. Yvette and Arthur were both killed in the attack, though their daughter Heather survived.[2][3][4][5][6]
Aftermath[]
Unbeknownst to Thanos, his father Mentor had been observing his son's activities from Titan. Upon discovering Heather still alive, Mentor brought her to Titan where she was raised by the monks of the Shao-Lom Monastery.[2] Kronos, seeking a champion to oppose Thanos, retrieved Arthur's soul and placed it in a powerful new artificial body. This being would become known as Drax the Destroyer.[1]See Also
