- —Power Princess[src]
History
Princess Zarda came from Utopia Isle, a paradisiac all-female society formed by a race of woman warriors known as Utopians. Since she was a young girl, Zarda enjoyed the taste of battles and ruthlessly slayed her opponents. To satisfy her love for war, she was the first Utopian to ever left their heavenly home for the outside world of man.[1] Unintentionally, upon her return, Princess Zarda brought with her pathogens that wiped out her fellow Utopians,[2] leaving her as the last Utopian. At some moment of her life, she witnessed the Asgardian gods wipe themselves out during the Ragnarok Wars and get ultimately finished off by Mangog, causing her to be one of the very few deities to walk among humans. As Power Princess, Zarda forged a reputation as a divine super-hero, worthy of being worshipped for her actions.[1]
As a member of the Invaders, a special team that helped the Allies fight in World War II, Zarda fought Nazis alongside Namor. She played a crucial role in ending the war in Europe by killing Adolf Hitler, leading to the surrender of Germany.[3][1]
Across the years, Power Princess made a big share of enemies, all of which she defeated in blazing victory, such as Tigra the She-Cat, Knull the King in Black, the Giantess, Hela the Goddess of Death, Ulik the Troll, the Dark Phoenix, the mad demon-sorceress Darkchilde, the demigod Hercules and many others. Her battles granted her a vast arsenal of super weapons. When fighting Gorr the god butcher, Zarda teamed up with past and future versions of herself and wielded the Necro-Lasso to finish her enemy.[1]
As a member of the world's premiere super-hero team, the Squadron Supreme of America, Power Princess met many battles and a lot of prestige. Zarda might have been a pivot for one of the group's many crisis, the super-hero civil war protagonized by Zarda Nighthawk and Hyperion, two of her teammates whom she had been romantically involved with.[4]
When Mangog, now going by All-Gog, attacked the Lincoln Memorial as a part of a coordinated attack by the Masters of Doom, Power Princess fought him.[5] She eventually defeated him, turned him to stone, and placed him among her collection of petrified opponents she kept around her home at the Statue of Liberty. Following this battle, Zarda heard an unusual thunder. Following the hints, Power Princess traveled to the ruins of Asgard using the Rainbow Ax, and discovered that the thunder was coming from an unknown Asgardian. Following a brief battle, the Asgardian grabbed his magic hammer Mjolnir and was revealed to be Thor before teleporting away. Zarda later met with the Squadron Supreme and discussed about the potential existence of "Avengers", a name Thor uttered before vanishing.[1]
Zarda and the Squadron Supreme chased the Avengers down, learning that they planned to restore reality back to its proper state. Tracking the Avengers down to Africa, Squadron Supreme discovered the mythical country of Wakanda, where the Avengers were hiding at. As the Avengers confronted the Squadron Supreme,[4] Zarda fought the new host of the Earth-616 Phoenix, Echo, and the child Starbrand. Combined their powers, Echo and Starbrand knocked Zarda out for the rest of the fight. Reality returned to normal when the source of the reality warp, President Coulson's Pandemonium Cube, was destroyed. In the restored universe, Zarda's memories survived with her counterpart.[6]Attributes
