History
Zhou Cheng was a host for the Ch'i-Lin who hunted down and killed many Iron Fists on their 33rd birthday for his master. While it's unknown exactly when he started serving as the Ch'i-Lin's host, his earliest known kill was the Iron Fist Kwai Jun-Fan in 1878 Texas. Despite Zhou's killing of Kwai, the Ch'i-Lin failed to consume Shou-Lao's egg.[2][3]
In 1937, Zhou attempted to hunt down that era's Iron Fist Orson Randall. After being chased throughout the whole world, Randall managed to evade Zhou by injecting himself with heroin to dampen his chi.[4]
Over 70 years later, Zhou attacked the current Iron Fist Danny Rand in Central Park and nearly succeeded in killing him, but was forced to flee when Rand called in Luke Cage and the Daughters of the Dragon for backup. Zhou went to the Thunder Dojo to use Rand's students as hostages against him, but Rand anticipated this and summoned the Immortal Weapons for help, forcing him to flee again. The Ch'i-Lin grew impatient and threatened Zhou's life if he failed again, so Zhou made one last attempt to kill Rand by having his lover Nadine, who was working as Rand's secretary, poison Rand to weaken him. Nadine immediately regretted this and pleaded with Zhou stop as she was pregnant with his child, which briefly caught him off guard. Rand managed to fight off Zhou by masking his chi and fighting uncoordinated, which prevented Zhou from predicting his attacks, with help from Cage. When Zhou mocked him, Rand gathered all his anger and punched through his throat, killing him. His body then burned away into a charred skeleton while the Ch'i-Lin left his body. While searching through Zhou's apartment to discover his past, the Immortal Weapons were able to find a map to the Eighth City, which they had been looking for.[5]Attributes
Powers
Ch'i-Lin Empowerment: As a host for the Ch'i-Lin, Zhou Cheng gained many of its powers.
- Advanced Longevity: Under the Ch'i-Lin's possession, Zhou Cheng had been around for centuries, completely immune to the ravages of time.[5]
- Superhuman Strength: Zhou Cheng possessed superhuman strength, enough to easily tear apart human beings and rip out organs with his hands alone.[2]
- Superhuman Durability: Zhou Cheng possessed superhuman durability and could endure powerful blows and attacks that could kill a normal human.[2]
- Superhuman Speed: He could move at superhuman speed and fast enough to where it almost looks like he can teleport.[6]

Abilities
- Master Martial Artist: Zhou Cheng was an incredibly powerful martial artist, having killed many iterations of Iron Fist bearers over the centuries. He was able to kill Kwai Jun-Fan and nearly killed his successors Orson Randall and Danny Rand.[5]
Weaknesses
As Ch'i-Lin are reliant on the chi of Shou-Lou, Zhou Cheng could not sense it if an Iron Fist dampened or hid their chi. He also could not predict uncoordinated attacks.[7]
