History
This married pair appear to be loyal to their government bosses in Russia, but are actually working with Blind Faith and his freedom-fighters- they happily give his agents the comatose bodies of Vanguard, Darkstar, and Ursa Major. Later, they begin to work on the unconscious Unicorn, but he awakens, causing great destruction. Despite the implications if their secret is discovered, the pair merge to form Synthesizer ("Arkady's mind in Zoya's form"), who attacks the villain. However, Synthesizer is easily beaten after a short struggle, and the Unicorn goes off with the Titanium Man to form the Remont Four.

Vasilievna, and her husband, Arkady can merge into one being; Synthesizer can fly and generate a variety of energies, including electromagnetic, light and sonic.
